Relich PA System Grant:

On Wednesday, April 23, 2008, Assemblyman William Reilich visited the Fire Safety Bureau of the North Greece Fire District.

Assemblyman Reilich secured approximately $2,500 from the State for the purchase of a portable public address system for the Fire and Life Safety Education at North Greece. The PA system will be used for school programs, community events, and also for miscellaneous training evolutions.

In 2007, the North Greece Fire District Fire and Life Safety team was involved in over 430 classroom-based programs from preschool through high school. We estimate between 9,500 and 10,000 students received our programs in the 2006-2007 school year. Many North Greece events are geared towards our residents and the community we serve and are held in larger rooms or outside. The growing need for a portable PA system had become clearly evident.
